New Killswitch song

So disappointed they went back to Jesse. His voice just lacks the power and emotion Howard had. Howard imo is what made Killswitch. However, this is probably the best KsE song I've heard with Jesse in it.

listened to it on my lunch, sounds like a nice step back to between AOJB and EOH... I liked as daylight dies but I think they've trailed off a little... this sounds promising.

I think completely the opposite...

Heard this earlier, agree on the mix though it's a pretty lossy file so might sound better at a higher bitrate.

I was a massive fan of Howard and never really got into Jesse's old stuff, but this sounds pretty good :)

No point in saying who is better. Not gonna gain much with that argument. Just sit back and listen to this guys stupid good voice. ;)

I've never hated Jesse's voice per say. But just found that it didn't have much of an appeal compared to Howard. Howard had such a good vibrato and could sing so well. His growling and screaming was so dynamic. You can hear this a lot of As Daylight Dies (2006) but I guess Jesse never appealed to me because in my opinion his voice sounds so one-dimensional. Not that he's a bad singer or vocalist at all, but his style of vocals just dosen't fit the KsE sound that they've established over the past 3 albums with Howard. I know he's the originally vocalist but I think KsE really found their niche with End Of Heartache. Not only musically, but Howard just filled in so much of that empty space that Jesse left.

All in all though, this is just my opinion.

Meh... Can't say it's anything too exciting etc. But honestly, I don't think that Jesse is the best choice for the band at this point. It's almost like taking a step back because, 'Oh.. but it's Jesse, we KNOW him like a brother, he's perfect'. Well, I don't think so. I don't think he's that good as a vocalist, and watching him live in their more recent videos it just seems like he's gotten weaker overall. Again just my opinion.. but meh. Nothing exciting yet, and I REALLY hope that mix is not the final :\

He's certainly improved, there's no question. He had to leave originally because of his voice, as well as personal issues. He just couldn't cut it night after night because he admitted he has no actual technique, he just blows it out there. Now you can tell that he's actually had some sort of training, or at least practices proper technique. I gotta say that I prefer this version of Jesse over Howard, but prefer Howard over the old Jesse.

I definitely like it. I like both Howard and Jesse, but I think Howard was kinda making the whole band a bit more emo and poppy. This track is melodic without the over-the-top cringe worthy poppiness of some of their latest stuff with Howard

I think it sounds decent, but I prefered Howard more. His voice was more powerful and more unique IMHO.
