New MANOWAR selling extreamly well!

AH Yes!! People still want to buy great metal music.Acording to soundscan in Europe MANOWAR"S new cd has moved over 200,000 units its first week out.Its a great record by a great band who's been at it over 20'yrs

It got to number two in Germany. I'm still waiting for my copy to be shipped by Amazon.

is the album being released in the states?i have asked people but no one seems to know.and i have not seen it in any stores.

@nuge: It was released on these shores this past Tuesday, June 4th. Though I'm sure Metal Blade didn't ship a gazillion copies, it should be fairly easy to find. My local store (a regional chain) had it and I got the last one. Perhaps stores sold out quickly and Metal Blade underestimated the number of True Metal Maniacs?

They are the "KINGS OF METAL" and you should definitely check them out.

@mrthrax: Manowar is about as trad. as metal gets! Tho' I imagine they're often lumped in with the whole power metal genre, they are just flat out heavy metal. And always have been. Big, silly, anthemic rockers with huge choruses, screaming guitars, relatively simply but powerful drumming, etc. Lots of lyrics about steel, metal, and defending the faith, etc. And oh yeah, the single CHEESIEST image EVER! And all those reasons are why they RULE.

Just remember, other bands play, MANOWAR KILLS!

I was greatly disappointed by the new MANOWAR album. You would think with the amount of time they took between the last one that it would have been better.
