New Mark Boals album

I heard a promo of this album "Edge Of The World" last night. I've never paid much attention to Mark outside of his Yngwie stuff but wow - he's even better out of the rather large shadow of Yngwie.

Slight Progressive heavy rock with a kickass line-up, which is great cause it's a vocalists solo album but not short of good musicianship, even if it is a bit more refined than the oft-wanky style of Ring Of Fire.

Hear it if you have the chance. It's out on November 11. I think it's gonna be a grower. You can hear samples at Mark's site HERE.

Judging from the soundclips, his voice is geting weaker.

His high notes are not as powerful as they used to be (check Trilogy).

Nevertheless, he's still one of my favorite vocalist and I will buy the album as soon as I see it in the stores.

He has one of his friends a cat I met on Mike Portnoy's board a few years ago on guitar , Chris Brooks. I got his solo cd and just becuase he is playing on it and all the other great talent I will be getting this cd, Chris ripps!!!! Maybe he will bring out some killa stuff from Marc, becuase I sure never got into Ring of Fire yet.
