i've heard both "The Widow' the 5 minute clip of 'Cassandra Gemini'. Both are quite different, and quite amazing. I cannot wait til this comes out.

am i lucky to have the full album? if so, then yay for me

its a great fucking album. the widow is the most mellow song i think.. and the shortest. all the other songs are around 13 minutes and cassandra is 30 minutes..

to me it sounds like led zeppelin, pink floyd, and david bowie got together in their prime, did a bunch of coke, and recorded an album. its amazing

The leaked version got out pretty quickly, I've got it as well, as do a fair few other people I know.

Not really a fan of The Mars Volta, so I'll listen to it sometime this week...or year.

It's quite interesting. It's definately the type of album that will take some time to appreciate. I'm a little worried it's a bit overindulgent at times, but I think they've pulled it off quite nicely.

i agree victim... they get a little too crazy with the whole jam thing but i like it... definitely takes time to appreciate... i absolutely LOVE cassandra gemeni (the 30 minute track)... its amazing. this cd is fucking awesome

i just got it about an hour ago, sounds very cool, but i'll need a few listens. deloused was such an incredible album, but frances the mute sounds very promising from my first listen. and yeah, there are just long ass jam sections, it's cool though. and the sax? that was pretty unexpected, i like it.
