New Megadeth??

Melodic Rock (www.melodicrock.com) are reporting that a “trusted source” has told them that a band billing itself as MEGADETH is currently recording at a Nashville studio.



The source claims that session giant Vinnie Colauita (JACK RUSSELL, AEROSMITH tribute) is playing drums and that Dave Mustaine IS there!

Dave is recording a solo album. A rock one I dont like rock, I like METAL. Well, thats a lie, but I dont like Dave Mustaine rock, its crap, he should do metal. GOOD metal Id buy that!

Yeah I would prefer a metal album than rock stuff, but I still dig 'Risk' and the like, so I am sure I will like it. As Winnie says, better than no Mustaine at all.

I think Megadeth will make a comeback sometime though.

I dunno why he's bothering if it's rock. A lot of people in metal don't like his voice, and I think as a whole, metal people care less about the singer's quality than more mainstream listeners do, so he has no hope of getting anywhere in "rock" with him singing. And if he is infact gonna call it Megadeth then it definitely won't get anywhere. I seriously hope he calls it something other than Megadeth cos I got a feeling it's only gonna drag down the name of what is at the moment a reasonably legendary band. Please let the Megadeth name die gracefully Dave!

I think he will do this as a solo record with his name on it, just to warm himself back into things, and then pick up with Megadeth again afterwoulds. I agree that doing a rock album probably isn't the best thing for his career, but I think I will probably like it, as I like Risk, and I assume that is how it will sound.

Yeah I would hope it would be better than Risk too, but if it turned out like Risk I would probably still dig it. Risk has some great material on it (and some utter shit too ).

Mustaine had better not call whatever it is he's doing "Megadeth", or the next time I see him I'll remind him of what he said to me last time we spoke:

"They [Capitol Records] were going to send 'Insomnia' out to alternative radio with just my name on it! And I thought 'You can't do that! I saw the fucking No Doubt video 'Don't Speak' where they pushed the three guys off, you know. I'm not Gwen Stefani. We might have the same size tits, but I don't ever want to be where it's the Dave Show, with three other, unimportant people', because this is a band!"
