Made a new impulse today and it sounds really good.
Cranked the MK4 for this one and EQed on the way back in to pull some 4k fizz.
This is by far the best impulse I have made.
Here is a test with Lecto to LeCab (hi an lo passed) and no post eq.

Used the track from this thread for test

Thanks Mick! Sounds great, although it has almost a -10dB middle scoop going on. Do you know if the MK4 GEQ affected the IR? Anyways.. sounds great. :)

I had the amp set up to re-amp for the track in my OP.
Graphic is fairly scooped at 750 with 80 at top line, 240 mid line, 2200 mid line and 6600 about halfway between middle and top lines.
Probably a good idea not to pull the mids on an amp sim sent to this IR.
I also had eq on the ZED-R16 to pull fizz.
I had a really good sound going so I decided to get an IR while it was still set up.
It sounds very "mix ready".
I can see myself using this a lot for guide tracks.

Mick I will try it later. Thank you... Have you got a 96 khz version ?

Thanks for sharing your work.

Thanks for the comments guys.
I will do a 96K version when I am in the studio on Thursday.
This impulse really does kick ass.
Here is Jeff's ROS DIs with no processing whatsoever.
I think the MK4's graphic really helped drive the cab in just the right frequencies which is, of course, very different to using EQ later.

getting good sounds with the Treadplate in Podfarm and even better with Legion!

I really wish there was a 1u rackmount or something that could load VST chains

Awesome! I have a Mark IV head + cab sitting here in my apartment, but have unfortunately been relegated to the silent recording option + random free cab impulses to keep from blowing the roof off the place. I've gotten some good tones this way, but although the cab impulses improve the tone significantly, they naturally impart some very "non Mark IV" flavor to the tone (which may or may not be a good thing given the application). This gets me WAY closer to the sound I get when I have the luxury of recording my full Mark IV rig.

Sounds really good! I'm playing with my 5150 direct into DAW. It is quite lax in the mids and has quite a bit of fizz going on, but it's nice and tight and trim sounding too.

Think of this as an impulse of the MK4 graphic, poweramp and cab.
It also has the frequency response of the API A2D preamp I used and the Zed-R16 EQ.
As I said earlier, don't cut the mids on your amp or ampsim but let the graphic do its job. See my lecto settings above. Mids halfway up.
I think, with this impulse, you will need to eq the amp to suit it rather than use your regular settings.
It has plenty of high but no scratchy 4k resonant fizz.
