wow, did not like the way this sounded, i would have expected much better

the sample replacement is kind of bad

and the snare used has a repetitive ring that is unnatural and bad sounding

some parts sound pretty sick, but others sound like they are "still being worked on"

eh, i pretty much expect shitty sounding samples out of bands like this, so i didn't much care, but the kick did seem way too loud in the mix

Definitely not diggin' this so much. I really like older Misery Index too. I think they wanna go for an old school "grind" sound or what not, which is why it's so raw. BUT, I'm not a fan of this mix at all. It's funny, because I love Overthrow which sounds more raw than this.

Probably because Overthrow is a lot more death metal than this. Overthrow is their best material but Retaliate is my favorite album. They stayed at my house in may when I put up some shows for them and were really cool about everything, a lot more down to earth than some bands that I've set up shows for or shared the stage with...

This snare is not bad in any way but it doesn't fit their music so well. My fav. MI records (both in terms of songs and production) are "retaliate" and "dissent" (ep).

The first ep was the shit also.
