listening to it now and it sounds pretty awesome.... I actually like the song too! agreed it reminds me a little of the sumerian bands (which I love).

slate drums? what are the cymbals? Mesa OS cab + SM57 again? or maybe two sm57s?


p.s. I asked in the other thread what you thought of the orange cab you've got. have you recorded with it much? any mixes to hear maybe? just curious. I want to get a new cab soon. it seems like the Mesa OS is the preferred cab for recording around here, but I've always avoided them because they're kinda loose/bassy sounding in person... might have to pick one up
 
Again...awesome stuff Ryan. Those chords ring out really well in the intro and sound nice and juicy, yet in the techy riffs the tone still sounds very defined.

The vocals sound awesome too.
 
i didn't like micing up the orange cab that much :(


its slate on kick and snare. the rest is superior 2.0

Other than the snare not being entirely to my liking, I can hardly fault this, this sounds fucking incredible.

Bass sound is sick dude! All I can clearly hear are the bass/gtrs which, while they're sick, nothing else really cuts through =\.
