New Mix. Young local band

Young local band I recorded.
5150II/5150 cab SM57 left side, and i5 right side.
Real drums.
Bass was Eleven rack.

Vocals sound fucking identical to Lazarus AD.
Drums ain't bad, perhaps back off of the overheads a bit.
I feel like that snare should be a lot more powerful for this style.
Compress, SPL Transient, something like that. It's just kinda..."plop" right now.
Guitars are solid as hell.

I would, but be careful, lest it get too inhuman.
The snare just needs to be a good, solid thwack.
Right now it's just a poing.

The compression on the snare is just perfect for this style, you just need to bring up the 4-5k area, and maybe just up the transients a little, but not too much. You could also back off the OH's, like thefalloftheheretic said, and maybe bring up the kick.
