new modern metal mix - triaxis content!

hey guys, first mix out of the load of bands i've been stuck tracking for the past few months..

i'm not very sure how to classify this, kinda modern melodic metal, think killswitch engage but darker/heavier.

guitar chain was EMG 81/passive jackson stock pickup(!) - TS808 - Triaxis (LD2 Red) - 50/50 poweramp - Mesa OS Recto slant cab. single 57

snare is a slate sample mixed in with the original..kick is one of my own.

believe it or not the growler is only 16 years old..amazing for his age IMO.

still going to make a few tweaks later tonight after the band makes their comments, any suggestions would be appreciated! (go easy please i've pretty much had to do a rushed mix on the EP due to crazy schedules)

great, i like general sound specially mesa guitar sound.
what did you use for your vocals mix??? could you give info about that?

Nice job!!. Triaxis sound could be better though.

gonna be making a few tweaks to this tomorrow...i reckon kick can come up and vocals down some.

yeah im still getting the hang of the triaxis/oversized recto setup..definately room for improvement.

vox chain was SM7b - API A2D driven pretty hard, Rvox and a touch of delay..not much EQ really. good vocalist helps

This sounds good. I usually despise this vocal style, but for some reason I really dig it on this song. It reminds me a bit of Carcass's Heartwork. Cool song.

thanks matthias...irony is this kid was a few months old when heartwork came out and hasn't even heard of carcass! *sighs*

comments would be appreciated..especially on the guitar sound..im definately not utilizing the rig to its fullest potential yet..
