Drowning in a sea of addictions
Well, now that the new Moonspell is officially out, I was just wondering what you guys thought of it. I personally feel it is their best effort since Irreligious. At the very least Fernando does an amazing job with his voice, and judging by the style of the songs, it almost sounds like Ares is back in the band, even though I know it is Niclas Etelevuori from Amorphis.

well, dont have the album yet, have 70% on mp3 :erk: and its great but to much like darkness and hope or not? perhaps I havent listened too much :ill: , I liked Sin/Pecado a lot :hotjump: , my fav maybe with Wolfheart :Spin: , Butterfly was a dissapoint for me :erk: so am getting slowly into the last two ones :)

and one of my biggest metal errors: was not going to the sin/pecado tour here in '98 :erk:

I love the new album. 'Darkness and Hope' was great, but I think this may even go above that one. 'The Antidote' also has on of the best Moonspell tracks yet with 'In and Above Men'. An amazing track.... For me it's up there with 'Opium'.

So yeah, Moonspell are still delivering the goods in my opinion. They're very mature sounding these days, although still very dark. Slick gothic metal. The digipak is pretty good too.

They've made a great comeback with the last two albums after 'The Butterfly Effect', their only weak(er) album.

FuCK!! This album is GREAT!! What the hell happens that everybody makes good music this year?? So i need to buy this one as well.. damn. I'm skint.

AS WE ETERNALLY SLEEP ON IT !!!!!! :hotjump::hotjump::hotjump:

Well, I'm not really totally into Moonspell and watching them live for about 16 times doesn't help much (they always play with some other bands I like...), some good songs though...you should check out their new video cuz it has a nice thing...it has a TRUE portuguese ambience. And that's nice.

ah its a band to be proud of archernar.

and sin is among me fave albums. just because its all quite new and it was really refrshing as well. and its the album that they wanted to do. ive the feeling that theyre doing it for selling records these days. :(
