You need to give it more time.

I'm going to say this is Album of the year(for me).

DEMILICH is highly over-rated.



First, think of the voice: They are terrible! Burping,really!?!?! it's plain and monotonous (listen to the voices George Fisher can get in Monstrosity's Imperial Doom; it destroys. Not to mention Nile's vox are insane.

Second, the music: Songs sound very similar, there is hardly any difference between them. Even in an early Nile album you can guess what song they're playing. The guitars are muddy, and the drums are repetitive and boring through the entire record.
I rather listen to a Indwelling or Monstrosity album. I'll be more satisfied.

...and in my humble opinion, Nile Owns all.

what the fuck are you smoking? the production on the album is excellent, not muddy at all. It's not shitty digital production but its plenty clear/sharp/crisp/heavy.

eh I like nile alot, and I think they are clearly one of the best modern DM bands out there now, but they are still not even remotely close to the greats of tech death (mainly gorguts and atheist followed then by demilich).

how can you really call nile "excrement", objectively speaking they are a talented and solid band. Hell even dodens thinks they are decent...

None so Vile (Cryptopsy) and In their Darkened shrines (Nile) > Anything Demilich has done.
