wow .. I am going to go out on a limb here and say that I really dug this one.
the vocals have some great dimension to them and the buzzsaw riffing is great ...
and they slowed the fuck down a lot from the mess that was the last release.

now if they would just lay off this Egyptian motif ...

Hmmm...I'm not sure about this track to be honest. First of all, it sounds horrible on that MP3, the drum triggering is just so clinical. Secondly, I can see why lurch would like this, it sounds clean and technical.

I like Nile when they're muddy, epic, brutal, pummelling, and masturbating my war god with the lube of a Nigubian princess. This falls short IMO.

The section at 1:30 (and repeating at 2:50) is good, otherwise it sounds like Decapitated, not Nile.

Am I going to buy the album the day it's released? Oh yeah.

Avoid this MP3 if you know you're going to buy it anyway. It makes the drums sound like a machine and the guitars nylon thin. Nile cannot release anything short of monolithic epic brutality, otherwise, just basing it on this MP3 alone, we'd be looking at disappointment of the year.

This is not Nile. It is pretty cool, but does not sound like Nile. Except the Demilich-esque "REREEEEEEEREREE" vowels. These leads are straight out of Hypocrisy!

Doesn't sound like that drummer from Darkened Shrines, which is probably my favorite death metal drum performance ever, even beating out all the shit I love that Sandoval has done. Perhaps.

Anyway I agree with most comments - had I not known this is a Nile track, I'd have taken a guees at at least twenty other bands before... But it's good, so why not...
