Hi to everyone, I'm a new member here. I'm 17 years old. I live in Santiago Chile (I bet that noone's been here) and I obiously like metal. I also like progressive rock.

This is the first board that I entered and that's because it's one of the bests i've seen.

My favorite bands are: Opeth, Ayreon, Borknagar, Arcturus, Emperor, Symphony X, Arch Enemy, MyDying Bride, Moonspell, Transatlantic, Pendragon, Cradel of Filth, Dimmu Borgir, The sins of thy beloved, old Ulver, Dream theater, Saturnus, Iron Maiden etc, etc

just out of interest:

why do you like 'old' ulver (fairly standard black metal, well below the standards of say darkthrone) and not their newer stuff, as i believe predition city to be a mighty fine album

What do you mean by below Darkthrone standards??? Old Ulver Is much greater than Darkthrone, and isn't really comparable to Darkthrone anyway, they have entirely different sounds.... Just curious!

By the way, Welcome Wanderer! And yeah, why don't you say new Ulver?? It kicks ass!

Hello and welcome. You have some good bands, and even though I particularly despise Cradle Of Filth, I love Emperor, Arcturus, Opeth, etc.
The Wanderer is a cool Emperor song.

I like old ulver because it has some great voices by garm, great acustic passages, some great raw black metal parts. It's just great. All what comes next is too electronic for me
