Cool. I always thought the Van Canto lead singer had an amazing voice, but VC itself didn't really keep my interest. I'll definitely check it out.

He's actually a "lower rakkatakka" vocalist in the band. Not lead vocalist. Sorry for not clarifying.

I don't hear Rage. It sounds more like Van Canto with a full band (as far as their own non-cover songs go). Me likely though.

He's the guy from VC who does the "Guitar Solos" ... I wonder if he'll use the same type of effect on the album.

Sounds pretty good, but I'd want to hear a couple of more before I got excited. To me all Van Canto sounds the same, so I'd want to make sure this didn't do the same.

The singer has that Peavy Wagner/Piet Sielck mid range vocal thing going on, so in that respect yes. Musically I don't hear it.

It is a solid album with a noticeable amount of classical music influence/incorporation - but not over the top. I have been listening to it quite a bit for an upcoming review. At first I was not too impressed, but it has grown on me over time. It is only 8 songs, but some true gems in Luna! Luna!, Elysium at Dawn, and Abracadabra (NOT the Steve Miller song). I definitely recommend to Power Metal fans!
