I think I'm the only one who cares about these dudes, but go here and click on Media for a teaser.

Release date: March 22nd woo!

sounds kinda generic, but then again it sounds a lot less vocal-oriented than most "pop"/radio rock stuff, so that's a plus. "No one knows" is a cool song, and poeple used to tell me I looked like Josh Homme. that is all.

Hmm, I'm not sure I see the resemblance.

I don't know what to think about this new stuff yet, but I have much faith that Homme has crafted many more rifftacular riffs like he's done for over a decade now.

from what I've heard of them, I really didn't like it too much. Don't know, I guess I just expected a more Kyuss sounding band, kinda like Slo Burn.

That QOTSA song I hear on the radio is boring.

The only real similarities between Kyuss and QOTSA are the leads. The big riffs (of which there are a multitude) don't really have that Kyuss sound, they are heavy but have a lot of breathing room and such.

J. if you see Songs for the Deaf in your Used Album / Revolving Trade List travels some time you might want to pick it up, I think you'd dig songs like The Sky is Falling and Song for the Deaf.

Rated R is good, but in the same vein as the first one (which I know you didn't like since you sold it to me :loco: ). Songs for the Deaf has some extremely heavy riffery and dark songs, I'd have to say it's the best QOTSA so far.

Why in the living FUCK have I always written off any QOTSA album post Lullabies To Paralyze? I mean, they are a bit different from early QOTSA but still undeniably fucking RULE. I’m an idiot.

First time I heard ...Like Clockwork I was angry for 3 days straight. So many rants, how annoying. After 5 years I learned to really, really love almost of all of it. Almost.

Era Vulgaris remains garbage. Throw that shit away.

Villains is fun. It ain't worth more than that, but fun is enough sometimes.

Lullabies to Paralyze is the best album of theirs to spin in October. All other times of the year is Songs for the Deaf followed by Rated R.

Y'all check out the John Garcia solo stuff? Some is fine, damn fine even.

Just sayin' that on Un-Reborn Again the clean guitar (maybe keyboard?) playing those chimey half-notes during the pre+chorus sounds like they used The Adventure of Link preset.
