I posted this in another thread, but apparently the European version has a North American distributor. When I contacted my local record store (that often carries imports), they said that the Japanese version would take 2-6 weeks to come in, but they had anticipated that as of February 28, they would have 30 copies of the European version in store, and didn't consider it to even be an "import".
NFF: Are you talking about HMV? I know their release date for the digipak is Feb. 28. And it's not an import, but it IS $30 (CDN).

Yeah, HMV. All their CD's are $30. The concept of "competition" seems to have escaped them. The only reason to go there is if you can't find it anywhere else.
