New Revocation Music Video

Hilarious, and brilliant, especially the boost to the guitarist for the shred solo  Kind of a bummer though; the production is really fucking solid, and the playing is obviously top notch, but the music...I dunno, just kinda leaves me cold, I don't find anything terribly memorable - I guess I'm just getting picky in my "old age" :loco:

Wonder if the guitar tone was actually tracked through the EVH cabs, as pictured (probably not, but it'd be cool)

EDIT: Wow, the singer/guitarists solo was so much better than the other guitarist's - and anyone know who engineered/mixed this? Seriously impressive mix IMO

I kind of feel the same about Revocation. It's all there, tight as fuck musicianship, awesome riffs and performances, incredible production but for some reason i'm not blown away, and don't really have a desire to keep listening.

This video was hilarious and this band is incredible. Anyone know anything on the guitar tone? It's insane.

They are both sponsored by Fender; I would be really surprised if it is anything other than the 5153

Have you listened to the rest of this EP yet? Or Chaos of Forms?

I have chaos of forms and existence is futile. I tried listening to Chaos of forms repeatedly when it came out after failing to find EIF that interesting, and nothing ever came of it. I'm not sure why as they clearly tick all the boxes.

not sure if you can pick up anything production-wise in this video - i didnt really see anything

you can however see how sick Dave (guitar) and Phil (drums) are at their respective instruments

This tells me nothing. I know a band that's sponsored by Fender and Mesa, tour with a 5150III and Mark IV, and neither company has an amp on their new album.

i guess i should clarify - i have been following them since the early days and i know Dave is quite happy with the EVH. He sold his VHT Pitbull upon getting the sponsorship and has not been seen in the studio or live with anything else since. i know Chaos of Forms was the 5153 for sure but i cant confirm 100% on the new EP. it sounds like a tone the 5153 could produce, albeit better than any others i have heard outside of the new testament.
