Preface - I pretty much hate Shadows Fall. Their music has done nothing for me. All that Remains is much better.
Their new single is the best song I've heard from them yet. Meaning I can tolerate it. However, its also a definite shift. Its somewhat radio friendly in the lack of harsh growls. Its also very thrashy. Like... almost old school thrash. With shreds blah blah etc etc. I do think I'll be hearing this on the local 'hardrock' station. I think that Atlantic has had a big influence on their music.
I bet they get a Grammy nod next year, due to Atlantic advertising with folks for the Grammy.
