Hey guys,

Suppose you're a band (not too hard to do for most of you) or a label (some of you can easily too) or whatever, and are checking out a new studio's website to see if you might consider working with them. What would you expect to find there ? Thanks for your ideas ;-)

Pictures of the recreation spaces. You can get good results out of most gear if you know what youre doing. But having a confortable space to live/ work in makes all the difference.

Don't forget to include an e-mail you check daily. A whole equipment list and another list of equipment you can rent according to band's needs. Pictures from the studio. Your CV including a complete discography with all production/mixing/engineering credits and lastly include as many sound samples as you can from the work you have completed thus far.

Pictures of people getting hammered and falling on equipment. Barfing on the black leather sofa. Pissing in the foliage. You know, all the standard stuff.

Oh yeah dont forget that when you take the photos all the beer cans and ash trays must be got rid of and all the gear polished. Every where must be vacumed and the plates cups etc must all be cleared away. After the photos have been take everything must be put back exactly where it came from!

You need this on the equipment list: Location of the local brothel and the girls servicing the studio staff. eg.

Neumann mics
Focus Right Pres
Mackie Console
Fender Guitars
Stephany from the "Bangcock" massage parlour...

I totally disagree, you should never admit to having a Mackie console!!

A Eurodesk, and a Sans Amp Bass Driver DI hard-wired at 6.

I rewired my Warhead so that it maxes out at 6. You turn the gain all the way up, but it's really only on 6. That's where ALL! amps sound the best. ;)

:tickled: I just can't get enough of this joke!

all good studios should have pics on their sites demonstrating that they have mastered the nipple-clamp technique of getting good performances out of metal guitarists.
