lol, well that's a bit harsh. Does one have to be as good as the counterpart member of the band the t-shirt being warn is representing? :p If that's the case I have to throw out most (or maybe all?) of my tees :(

He's pretty decent, though from the "The Great Depression" studio vids, I prefer their previous drummer, in terms of technique for sure.

I only have "The Great Depression", however I'll definitely check this out as this band has definite talent!

Cool way of recording vocals - their stances are amusing to say the least :lol:! Sepultura's Derrick Green used the same dynamic mic (SM7B) and same method in A-Lex (or was it Dante XXI?). He also commented on the warmth of this technique compared to the more conventional standing-still-against-a-condenser method. It certainly allows one to go all out in terms of passion as we can see :)

Wasn't it posted on this very forum that Mike Smith is apparently actually less-than-stellar in the studio (someone heard some session work that was sloppy as or something, from memory)......?

In any case, this guy ain't no slouch (apart from not being the hardest hitter, but how many guys really are in this kinda death metal anyway?) so what you said is basically kinda dumb.

Anyway, band is a bit throwaway but I'll probably check the album out regardless. Myspace hasn't been kind to the mix..

Also, the drummer is Dan.. he just recently left aborted, and his old "black metal band" Misery was pretty awesome aswell, i've got their CD kicking around somewhere. I'll send it to anyone who wants to hear it?
