New Unearth Song

It's the first post as of right now.

My thoughts? I was initially excited to hear the new stuff considering the stuff on the videos seemed rather promising...but now that I hear it, I'm really let down. It just sounds like the same CD again...but more obvious and in one song. It just sounds...repeditive, the song isn't that great. Nothing original or even all that interesting in it at all.

I don't really know how to describe it...the trailer they have for their music video looks pretty tight though...

Maybe someone else understands what I'm talking about. I like the no Log though.

switched it off after a minute
i loved the oncoming storm
but from this they havent seemed to progress much,
well il wait til the cd comes out before i make any proper judgements

On a sidenote, check out the new Acacia Strain, great stuff. Not a huge fan of the production, but it's tolerable.

Yeah, I REALLY hope the other songs are better. Perhaps they're making this the single that sounds like the first CD to be safe or something...I dunno...if they did, they did a bad job of making it sound the same AND interesting.

But I would agree, the production is a lot better on this one. I HATED the kick drum on the last one because it sounded way too fake along with the snare. I think this snare is triggered too, but it doesn't sound all that great either.

for some reason i always dug the kick on the oncoming storm, i'd never use it, but there was something just dirty about it.

I like it! Great song but why do they keep repeating those shitty brakedown parts...?? Anyway, the rest somehow reminds me of In Flames.
Great production too imo.

Good production on the whole! The song itself sounds like every other song off The Oncoming Storm, though!

Compared to the previous production, I really like it. The drums sound much more natural (although still triggered). I think the lesson learned was dynamic samples versus the 127 velocity snare the whole damn time. The little snare build up at the end sounds well done. Not really impressive as a song, but I dig the production.
