as the new Voivod album is coming soon, I wonder how it's going to sound. information about it seems to very sparse.
I think it may be very interesting if they keep the heaviness of Phobos(best one IMO) and combine that with Belanger's vocals.

I'm very interested in hearing their new stuff too. I have no idea what it'll turn out to be. Hopefully something excellent.

Get "Phobos", I'd suggest! very spacy progressive thrash metal...something like that ;)

Hmm... I wouldn't recommend Phobos as someone's first Voivod album. It's not one of the most accessible albums with it's RIO elements. I recommend to start with either Killing Technology, Dimension Hatröss or Nothingface or if you like primitive and harsh thrash, the first two are good for you.

I'd like a combo of Nothingface, The Outer Limits and Negatron myself. More prog/atmospheric metal than thrash but thats only because I've been listening to too much Razor recently:lol:

The most proggy albums are Dimension Hatross and Nothingface, everything is kinda lame I think.

Have you even heard their later stuff? Jack Luminous off of The Outer Limits is definitely as proggy as Nothingface and Dimension Hatröss as is the whole of Phobos.
