I bet they're still using the reconstruction era southern slang "carpetbagger" though... I remember reading that a lot in HS and not knowing it was derogatory towards northerners.

It's weird that they adjust these silly details but leave the more offensive and damaging stories intact. Colombus sailing the ocean blue in 1492 comes to mind.
