After months of waiting, it's here. This is unlike any regular Schecter that's ever been on the market apart from the USA stuff. Head and shoulders above anything else in the Diamond Series. Blows my old Horizon NT-II's out of the water. The thing sounds absolutely massive and plays like butter. On to the pics.

Pretty bold claim that a Schecter can beat out an NT-II. Where's this one made?

South Korea. I've had PRS's, Gibsons, Caparisons, USA Jacksons, ESP's yadda yadda. IMO, I like these new Schecters infinitely more than the SS ESP's I've had. That's just my 2 cents though.

No shit? I thought they stopped making them in SK? Every Schecter I've seen in stores in the last two years has been made in SE-Asia. I still own a C7 Hellraiser from SK with coil taps, and it's a pretty decent guitar. But damn, better than a Horizon? Couldn't say the same. Think you got very lucky on that one.

This is a new model, nothing like the previous Diamond Series stuff. My old Hellraisers weren't on par with the SS ESP's, but these are a different story.

The lower-end models are made in China/Indonesia now, but the higher-end Hellraiser/Blackjack/signature stuff is still made in the World factory (same factory that handles PRS SE, some LTD Deluxe/signature stuff, Spector Legend series, etc.) in South Korea.

Ibanez even used to outsource some of their Prestiges in the past there too (some SZ's). Korean Prestiges weren't really popular with the Iba-fans, tho.

World really does make top-notch stuff. I don't know if their stuff is on par with ESP Standard or Fujigen Iba Prestige, but they usually put out great all-around instruments, not just "for the money", IMO.

The Schecters got the price tag to go with it. Pretty much every guitar they make there nowadays they sell for at least $700.

:)

Nice guitar, BTW! The cosmo black EMG's look kinda cool. :)

Thanks dude! I pretty much sweat battery acid...so we'll see how long those EMG's last haha.
