Nickelback- "Animals" Tone

My tone is fizzier... in a bad way... but the overall character is there. I'm going to give this a shot again tomorrow and try to get closer. I'm thinking the cabinet used for this may have been loaded with H30s because of the roundness... I have a cabinet coming with those in the next week.

Distortion pedal in front of a Recto->Recto Cab->Single 57->API Preamp (Neve probably would have been better for this)->Distressor with distortion 3->EQ

id try less compression on the distressor. cut a little 10 khz (-4 db)

try this curve eq file, it will get you very close i think!

I love it Greg! Fucking awesome work! I think the original has a little more low end oomph/growl and saturation to my ears on laptop speakers(we're talking minor difference though)... maybe get that sca neve on this and it would be right there.
