Nuclear Assault is a very good thrash band from NY who focused on social/ecological/political matters... They are almost done with a new album following their recent reunion! Handle With Care is one of the most significant thrash albums of the nineties... They might even be the first band to ever "grind" on a song... Listen to Lesbians from 84 and see what I mean!

Nuclear Assault are the kings of the "beat-you-to-death-with-a-simple-but-effective-riff" thrash breakdown. You'd hate them, Pancakes, cause of the almost punk vocals (though Something Wicked might be worth your time). For those who can tolerate primitive singing, they're a damn good savage, straightforward thrash band.

This increases my respect for Nicko a lot.

I don't think Nuclear Assault are THAT much punk... They are "6 years old bitchy lottle boy trying to piss you off from a distance" kind of vocals... they are High pitched and aggressive... sometime funny and sarcastic... The suit the music very very well!
