Nightwish - 'Once' Review

[Catharsis]

Yesterday, I was amongst a small group of journalists lucky enough to be given the opportunity to hear the forthcoming Nightwish album, 'Once', which is due for release through Nuclear Blast on June 7.

You can read a preview and track by track breakdown of the album at http://www.nightwish.org.uk , although bear in mind that only the rough mixes have been heard, and the order in which tracks were heard was not how they will appear on the album.

Cool. I'm looking forward to it's release! It sounds like it's going to be one amazing album! Of course that's what i'd expect from such a band as Nightwish.
I'm interested to see what this 'mroe prodominent bass lines' are going to sound like being a bassist myself i tend to prefer songs with good bass lines in them!

The basslines definately sounded stronger, and higher up in the mix this time round. However, it should be noted that the album has not been properly mixed yet and so the sound on the final release could be somewhat different.
