From blabbermouth:
Tonight's (December 14) NIGHTWISH's concert at the Paviljonik Arena in Jyväskylä, Finland was interrupted by a fire. According to Finnish media reports, 6,000 people were evacuated when the concert hall started to fill up with smoke. The situation was quickly brought under control and no injuries were reported. The concert eventually continued, but since some of the fans waiting outside the venue were asked to leave by the staff when the ambulances started to arrive, they ended up missing the rest of the gig. Although the cause of the blaze is under investigation, Finnish media reports suggest that construction work on the roof might have been a factor.

:kickass:

Wonderful! Thank God we did not have another Station incident. It is a testament to the people that ran the event to keep everyone calm in the face of danger.

The fire was discovered on the roof of a building next ot the Paviljonki Areena right after Nightwish had just started their gig and were playing the third song of the setlist at 9:15 pm. There was construction work done on the roof and a wind-blown tarp had stuck on a spotlight and lit up. Small area of the roof coating burned before firefighters put the flames down.

Due some amount of smoke drifting in through the ventilation system of the Paviljonki Areena, all 6500 people inside were told to evacuate out until the firebrigade had made it sure there wasn't real danger for anyone inside the Areena and let the gig continue. Unfortunately some people didn't get any information about the situation in time and went home with the idea thet the gig was cancelled.

Anyway, in less then an hour the band was on stage again, the gig continued and Marco was asking if the people were still in fire? They obviously were and the gig got more intense atmosphere than ever before the fire incident.

Nice cover story...the real deal was Marco farted, and due to his prolific vodka consuming, the gas was highly flammable and thus started the conflagration. The band's management was clever enough to blame the tarp & spotlight next door :D
