Nikki Sixx has slammed THE BLACK CROWES manager Mark DiDia for leaking the MÖTLEY CRÜE reunion on "The Howard Stern Show" in mid-November, ruining any well-organized strategies CRÜE's management had in making the major announcement. CRÜE will team up with DEF LEPPARD, POISON and JOAN JETT & THE BLACKHEARTS for a 22-date North American stadium tour next summer. "The Stadium Tour" kicks off July 7 at Miami's Hard Rock Stadium and winds down on September 5 at Los Angeles's SoFi Stadium. Tickets go on sale on December 13 at 10:00 a.m. The trek marks CRÜE's first live dates since wrapping its 2014/2015 farewell tour. The band toured with POISON back in 2011 and DEF LEPPARD teamed up with POISON for a string of road dates in 2017 — but the upcoming jaunt marks the first time all four acts have hit the road together for an extended tour. "The Stadium Tour" was announced on Wednesday at a Hollywood event hosted on SiriusXM's Volume channel by Slim Jim Phantom of THE STRAY CATS. When Variety asked Sixx how MÖTLEY CRÜE would have liked to have made the announcement, the bassist responded: "We would have announced it here [at the December 4 event], the way it should have been." He then added sarcastically: "It was announced by THE BLACK CROWES manager, which I heard their tour was just canceled and he got fired, unfortunately, but that doesn't affect our stadium tour." DiDia, of Red Light Management, stated during a November 11 appearance on "The Howard Stern Wrap-Up Show": "There's a MÖTLEY CRÜE / POISON / DEF LEPPARD tour coming, there's a RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINEAC/DC's coming. There's a lot of rock coming out next year. God bless Drake and Billie Eilish and all that; they're streaming music and they have a lot of followers. Rock doesn't stream, but there's a thing that's happening. I think people miss guitars and bass and drums."
