Nikki Sixx recently underwent surgery to repair a rotator cuff tear in his right shoulder. The MÖTLEY CRÜE bassist revealed his latest hospital visit in an Instagram post earlier today. He wrote: "I officially have 5 cadaver parts in the body now. Finally got the right shoulder repaired. All the rotators were completely torn off the bone. I seem to think it's a good idea to break things on stage and there for I am always broken. "Left knee fixed. Left rotator cuff and bicep fixed. Hip fixed. Double hernia fixed. And as I said before, right shoulder fixed. "Excited to heal up. Health is everything. Ready to get onstage and break stuff...#RocknRoll" This is the second rotator cuff surgery for Nikki in less than two years. He previously went under the knife in July 2017 and later posted graphic video footage of the operation shot using a point-of-view (POV) camera captured from the surgeon's perspective. Shortly after his 2017 procedure, Sixx spoke about it on his syndicated radio show "Sixx Sense". He said: "Ten years ago or so, we [MÖTLEY CRÜE] were gonna open for THE ROLLING STONES. I woke up the day before the tour started and I couldn't lift my left arm. I went to Cedars-Sinai hospital and they X-rayed me, MRI-ed me and said, 'You have a torn rotator cuff and we suggest you don't do the shows,' or, 'suggest you don't do the tour.' I'm, like, 'This is the dream, to open for THE ROLLING STONES. And MÖTLEY CRÜE is an arena band, and we're gonna do an arena tour with THE ROLLING STONES. There's a gonna be a lot of people there that know us too.' So this was a dream — one of my favorite bands. So I got cortisone shots, and I was fine. I've been getting cortisone shots for ten years, masking the pain. And it just was finally time to get it done." Sixx underwent a two-hour hip replacement procedure in April 2017. MÖTLEY CRÜE's biopic, "The Dirt", was released in March via Netflix. The band, which officially retired as a full-time touring act in 2015, did record four new tracks for the soundtrack of "The Dirt", including the title track and a cover of Madonna's "Like A Virgin". CRÜE has no plans at the moment to break its word that it would never tour again.
