So, my wife gets a FREE covered seat and I go see damn 'Pirates Of The Carribean 2'. I had to MAKE her go too! Ha! She was all guilty and everything. I told her, "I would go!". She did get me and my son a t-shirt though.
She said that until the last 2 or 3 JOURNEY songs, there was a wicked thunderstorm happening...pink sky...extreme lightning...etc. We would have had 3 kids standing out in that had we gone, so we made the right decision...but it sucked. So, the 2 huge JOURNEY fans of the group (me & my guitarist) stayed home while the one person who didn't care where we went as long as it was with family (my wife) saw what she called a "very good show!" Everything was executed well & sounded good....but it looked like all the band members EXCEPT for Jeff Scott Soto & Rick Allen looked like they were on auto-pilot...no excitement to be there. They were smiling and doing all the requisite stage moves...but Soto and Allen were full of energy and you could tell were genuinely happy to be doing what they were doing.
Irony is a dirty bitch. LOL!
