pollock isn't one of my favourite painters because i think the best art is about more than aesthetics, and i'm not sure his art is. but he is an aesthetic master, seriously.

i dont actually dislike any artist really... but i just don't want to lie and be like 'i really appreciate his stuff'. like if i go to the whitney, i just walk by it, whether that's considered gauche of me or not. i just like, am bored when i see it.
