I loved Raw Deal / Killing Time. When the album New York City Hardcore on Revalation Records came out it changed everything for me musically at that time. From 84 to 89 I was metal fan and nothing else. For some reason I picked that album up because I think I heard a song on another comp I had with a mix of metal and hardcore. Every band on that LP was something fresh at the time where most metal bands were changing thier sound to a mainstream vibe. This had the aggression that metal lost. Bands like Supertouch, Gorilla Biscuits, Raw Deal, Outburst, and No Use For A Name took over musically where bands at the time like Nuclear Assault, Testament, and many others were putting out lackluster stuff.
Nice to see someone else giving the nod to Killing Time....two steps forward, two steps forward....TWO STEPS BACK!!!!!
