Hey guys, Now, more than ever, people record music at home and all kinds of noise might interfere, so i figured this might be handy, especially for high gain tones.
Having to deal with noisy DIs from clients (and mine, i must admit) had it's benefit - It made me develop this technique. No eq notching, no noise gates (can't really affect the signal to noise ratio).
So what's left?
Spectral denoising! But it doesn't end there as this thing can butcher the DI and take the life out of it if not done right. This video covers how to do it properly.
Let me know how you approach guitar denoising!
A/B Examples at 4:55. Cheers!
