Florida rockers NONPOINT have entered Groovemaster Studios in Chicago with Grammy-nominated producer Johnny K (DISTURBED, STAIND, MEGADETH) and Daniel Salcidoto to begin work on their eighth studio album for a fall release via Razor & Tie. Comments NONPOINT vocalist Elias Soriano, "It's great to be back in the studio with Johnny K. "After the last record turned out so awesome, the way we saw it, why fix what ain't broke? "Pre-production has gone smoothly and the songs luckily didn't seem to need a lot of work. So we're gonna get some ridiculous tones, play and sing our hearts out. We are going to have as much fun as we can doing it so hopefully that translates to the music." NONPOINT's latest, self-titled album sold 7,300 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 62 on The Billboard 200 chart. The band's previous CD, "Miracle" (2010), opened with around 8,000 units to land at No. 60."Nonpoint" was produced/mixed by Johnny K and featured additional production and mixing from Brian Virtue (30 SECONDS TO MARS, CHEVELLE).NONPOINT's January 31 concert at Club Revolution in Fort Lauderdale, Florida was filmed for an upcoming DVD.
