North Europe Merchandise

Hmmm, no, we're like the Brits - Scandies don't belong to Europe. (You know how Americans always say "Oh, we're going to visit Europe and the UK this summer?)

Not that it matters, but in archaeology, Northern Europe is, like, your old stomping grounds Tomasz, Poland, along with Germany, Holland, Belgium, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Switzerland and Austria. We're just Scandinavia, which is really funny, because Nordic people know that Scandinavia is just Norway and Sweden. Woops, Finland, Denmark and Iceland just fell off the map of the world! Next thing we'll be exacvating "The Lost Countries of the North", kind of like Atlantis...

Really?? Meet up for a beer or something?
All's well here. Same old, but we've been back to Sweden for a bit of R&R combined with research for me.

Well, the whole thing was kind of beyond anything I'd expected, and anything I can describe... It feels a bit like I've not come up for breath yet. The research was amazing, and we went for a visit to Gotland where we did some even more amazing stuff. We went to Hell and back (for real) and took a picture of the church in Hell, too. It was a cold day in Hell, as it was snowing that day, so now we can all say that hell - officially - has frozen over. We took tons of pictures, ate tons of foods that I had requested my dad make (as in all the foods I miss that you can't buy here), visited with relatives and celebrated - again, officially - my grad. We also did a bunch of tourist crap, for the sake of the kids and my husband mostly, but because I got to see the world though their eyes, even that part was kind of amazing. Anyhow, I'll have to PM you, cuz my hard drive croaked, and it had your addy in it...tell you more then.
