Back in 2009 I did an amateur EP for Sydney Band Northlane, which at the time was OK as the band needed something cheap and I needed some experience. The bands gone on to do quiet well in Australia, and recently released a debut Album done by Will Putney, which I thought sounded freakin awesome. So I figured it would be fun to go back and re-mix one of the tracks for my page, and see how things have changed in 3 years.

They had this beastly Modded 5150 mk1 which in hindsight I wish I took advantage of a little more trying out a few more mic techniques. Such a great amp.

Its called Set in Stone. Check it out here

absolutely love Northlane! great revised mix, maybe the vocals are a little wet in parts (with reverb), but other than that, top stuff. Any details on the guitar post processing?

Guitars were a Ibanez RG Prestige (I forget the model, Orange thing with a quilted top) with Bareknuckle Warpigs > Maxon 808 > 5150mk1 (red Channel) > Mesa Rectifier Cab > Off axis 57

Its pretty much just Notch EQ and a C4 taming the bottom end.
