Jason Stevens? Im surprised he made it. Is Joel Clinton injured?

Seems like a good side given all the injuries there have been. If Lockyer is back for QLD then they have a MUCH better chance of winning, though id still prefer to smash QLD by 100 points at least if QLD win it would go to a decider which is always fun, id be just as happy with 3 - 0 to NSW though! :)
 
Yea, not sure what the go is with Stevens being there. Given how well Matt cooper has been playing, it sucks how they always pick Tahu and Gidley. They would've picked him for game I if he had only played 2 min in the last year...
 
Stevens is an ok player, but honestly, I dont think he deserves to be in the squad, especially if Joel Clinton was available. (Assuming he is eligible for NSW). What about Ben Kennedy, is he still injured?
 
Kennedy's still out, otherwise he'd be back for Newcastle.

Stevens had a blinder on Sunday. He's also much more experienced than Clinton in Origin football, and doesn't have such ridiculous sideburns either.
 
Didn't Jason Stevens used to be in The Late Show on ABC? :)

I wish they did these games on a weekend so I could watch it in the pub :( The only time they have them here (even replays) I can't get to see em.
 
Strewth!

I'm guessing Kurt Gidley would be next, considering he was 18th man for the first game. Then again, this is the same team that overlooked Australian internationals and the man of the match of the official "trial" (City vs Country).

i think it's fucked that tahu can get picked. he's played like 3 games this year. And despite the fact hornby is still in great form, he's dropped.
