If I can procure transportation, I am going to attend this.

intersting indeed ... this venue is right next door to where we went to see hammers/slough feg Greg.

there is also In Flames / Gojira gig in the city the same night.

would be cool to get an RC drunk outing together before the holidays ... fuck Monday :loco:

I'd be up for it, but I'm actually going to Yale School of Business next week on one of those management/leadership training courses. Gotta be there early Monday. :loco:

That said, we should plan a gathering this month. I'm off work Dec 20 - Jan 3.

you already failed the course by not even being able to organize a night out :loco:

As for an NYC gathering, Christina sent out an e-mail about Saturday the 27th. We could definitely merge that with an RC gathering. Thoughts?

Zod

do it ... i am off as well between xmas and new year, so any day is good for me ... except xmas day as I get the gifts :loco:

I'm holding myself back from cursing a certain person out in the open on how this show was delivered. Bottom line I did not get to see Velnias live, as they were set to hit the stage at midnight on a Sunday night (had to get up early this morning) not to mention two other bands that were supposed to play after then. Also, $20 for this show was too much.. wonder how many people decided not to come out because of the ticket price.

shit ... I thought this was going to end at midnight.

and count me in for one that did not want to pay $20.

but I am going to see EPMD tonight in soho :loco:

$20 too much? man, that's sounds cheap, especially compared to a lot of fest prices. though considering the lineup, maybe they should pay me $20 to see them. :loco:

i dont go to shows, so i know squat.

So anyone saw Nachtmystium. They kicked my balls pretty hard last time around at the Noise Festival in Paris along with a bunch of emo bands. Would be real nice to see them play a full show.

Bloody Panda (Level-Plane) -- hooded, female-fronted NYC sludge doom

What is hooded supposed to detail? Is that a new hipster saying for "rad, out of sight"?

Velnias is definitely worth the $20 admission tag. Third is a perfect slot in the line up for them. It allows for one to acquire a nice hearty buzz while the two shit bands play, as well as an easy exit strategy subsequent their set for other earthly pursuits. Hopefully they venture West one of these days.

I guess I wouldn't complain about the $20 from my own perspective (hey, I paid!) for a lineup of 5 bands if

a) the show started on time so that I can see full lineup
b) the lineup had at least 2-3 bands I'm interested in.

I was particularly interested in 1-2 bands, and the show started at 9PM on Sunday with the headliner bound to start at 2AM. that's not worth $20.. more like $8.

the other thing is that maybe if it was $15 more people would actually be there to see the bands.
