So, I just got a really cheap Atari 2600 on eBay (I turn 21 in less than a month and I'm already having freaky nostalgia trips...that can't be right can it?)

Heres the thing though, I'm having trouble recalling some of those staple games that I'll need to have the full 8bit expierence of my youth. My short list of games I need to round up is as follows:

Space Invaders
Pitfall
Pac Man
Combat
Defender
E.T. (Shut up...It wasn't that bad)
Star Wars
Yars Revenge

A couple other random things. Anyone got any other names you can toss out...or even any other old games sitting in a box collecting dust that you don't need anymore?

Donkey Kong, Golf
Centipede, Galaxian
Polaris, Space Invaders
Superman, Joust
Asteroids, Jungle Hunt
Berzerk, Kaboom
Chopper Command, Keystone Kapers
River Raid, M*A*S*H*
Defender, Moon Patrol
Planet of the Apes
The Empire Strikes Back, Ewok Adventure
Stampede, Video Pinball
Burgertime, He-man

I loved Q-bert in the Acrade and NES but it sucked on the 2600. You couldn't tell what the fuck was going on, even more so then usual lol.

2600 ruled!! That's what got me into videogames for sure.
But I swear I was like 9 or something (when did the Atari 2600 come out?)... I'm 30 now...
I never owned one, though. Played Atari at a couple different neighbors'.
Then one day.....I got an Intellivision from my dad. I was stoked.
But the Intellivision broke. We got it replaced with another one that broke.
PlayStations are almost as bad as Intellivisions were. Fucking Sony...

Have fun, Ragamuffin!!!

They came out in 77, were discontinued in 84, but I had my mothers when I was a kid and played it as much as my NES

...until Megaman came out

keystone capers have i got the right console lol

never owned one but friends had em i also like pitfall

the only other computer i owned was an amiga 500,how good was it for games!!!!!!

My favorite 2600 game is Dragonstomper. The first rpg I ever played. You needed the Starpath Supercharger to play it though. In case anyone has never heard of it, it was a big cartridge that had a cable coming out of it that you plugged into a headphone jack so you could load games off of tapes.
