Anyone for some new Norwegian rock/metal?
Lyrics are in Norwegian, though they are pretty much impossible to understand for anyone.

I really enjoy the occasional black metal influence. It's kinda funny that I've always loved american music the most, but my two recent favorites have come from Denmark and Norway.

I like the fact that they mix things up a bit. Sounds like a lot of influences being brought together. Punk, black metal, thrash, hardcore...the lot.
They manage to keep things interesting throughout the record, and I am yet to discover any fillers.

So what's the Danish band then?

Volbeat. I only like the two first albums, though.

Volbeat are quite good.
Quite melodic and rock n' roll-ish from what I've heard

A bit like these guys:

(I've single handedly brought this off-topic-thread completely off topic).

Yeah I was blown away by Volbeat when I first heard them years ago. It's a shame that Guitar Gangsters was such a letdown. I will give the new album a fair chance though.

The Wildhearts are good, but not really my cup of tea.

I've been listening a bit to the first Volbeat album the last couple of days. I think it's rather good, but I just can't get that much into it. I'll give the album a couple of more spins, though. It may very well be a grower.
And I can imagine them being a wicked live band...

Check out Rock The Rebel Metal The Devil, it's much easier to get into than the first album.

Yeah they're great live. I saw them at this small club in 2008, awesome show! Other times I've seen them at festivals and they were still good.
