Motorhead are touring the UK at the moment, with Sepultura suporting. And tonight they hit Glasgow Barrowlands! Holy crap! This is going to be tremendous!

Well, a brief review since it's O/T. The first band, Class of Zero, were fucking dreadful - post-Korn high school badd boyzz. Sepultura, the PA was working against them. Some of the time, all I could really hear was drums and vocals. They picked kind of wierd set list too, I thought. And I'm guessing from their performance they were pretty jet-lagged too (this was the first UK date). So, all in all, pretty disappointing. I should say, I'm not anti-Derrick Green by any means. I've seen them on awesome form and on shaky form with Max, and I've seen them on awesome form and on shaky form with Derrick. By the way, Igor's kit is getting more unorthodox every time I see them...

Motorhead were Motorhead, and that about sums it up. They played quite a few old tracks I've never heard them play before (I only started going to see them in the late 90s). Shoot you in the Back, Love me like a Reptile, stuff like that. From the new record, they played Killers, Life's A Bitch, and In the Name of Tragedy. They also played Just Because You've Got the Power, Doesn't Mean You've Got the Right - subtle! They played another surprise track too, but naming it here could be a spoiler. I've seen them play way better though. I don't want to overstate this, but you have to worry about Lemmy's health. This is the first time I've seen him look anything less than invincible. He seemed to have lost some weight and to be having trouble keeping the vocals up. I thought I saw his left hand shaking a bit, but maybe that was just vibrato :) His last words on stage were "Don't forget us, eh?". I left wondering if that was the last time I'd get to see them play. I hope not.

Its a real pity that sepultura are supporting other bands in the UK. Such a pity since Max left nobody seem to care about Sepultura.
Ive seen Sepultura twice with Derrick Green and the first time he was awesome, the 2nd he wasn't as good. Plus the 2nd time I saw them they were playing to a fraction of the audience they played the 1st time.

Its sad news indeed
