This falls under the rumor department, but The Sun (according to Bravewords.com) is reporting that Led Zeppelin will be reuniting for a stadium tour.

I'm probably in the minority here... but I really hope they don't. Zeppelin was Plant, Page, Jones and John - not Jason - Bonham. Even if they put Bonzo's kid behind the drum kit, it's not going to feel right.

Isn't one potential train wreck (the Van Halen reunion) enough this summer?

As much as I would love to see Zeppelin, I agree. I have respected Zepp for not giving in and doing the reunion thing. The magic is never recaptured.

Not sure if this is true or not..... but if it is who cares... I'm sure they have no CRAZY ideas of recapturing old magic.

Remember how they sucked ass at live aid in 1985, when they put that on DVD a couple of years a go, Page had them remove their performance and offered proceeds form the Page & Plant DVD instead.

I posted something similar to this on my WRLR blog, and got a response from what looks like a Robert Plant fansite. Very respectfully denied that this all was true, and that Plant was looking to do a solo tour in 2007.

I know that Page is still a great guitarist, and Plant can still sing (even if he can't do that banshee wail anymore). Jonesy - well, he was one of the best rhythm men in rock history. I just hope that they all have the common sense to leave the past in the past. If they want to play LZ songs on solo tours, I'm cool with that.

I personally would love a chance to see this happen. I know the genaral feeling about re-unions around here, but damn, just a chance to see Zep on stage one time...:kickass:

You see, if you read the The Sun you would have read that they are going to dig up John Bonham and re-animate him. That and Batboy is going to be a his roadie.

Yeah, I know that The Sun is basically England's equivalent to "Weekly World News" (though it would be cool to have Batboy as a roadie - wait, isn't that the kid who played Eddie Munster?). But, on the one-thousandth-of-one percent chance that they were right, I just wanted to make my feelings on the subject known. You know the old saying: even a blind squirrel finds a nut once in a while.
