Okay, in a moment of weakness, I decided to utilize a little over-the-counter assistance to help me lose weight, and I bought this new Stacker-2 HDLP (?). I swear to God, after just one day on this shit, I thought my heart was going to burst out of my chest, that's how bad it was racing. I couldn't sleep last night, and this morning I seriously thought I was having a heart attack. (The only good thing I experienced on this stuff was that my appetite was definitely curbed, so there was no snacking.)

Needless to say, I'm off this stuff for good... but I was wondering if anyone else has had similar problems with this stuff? This didn't have ephedra, but it has lots of caffiene. (Since I down about a 2 liter of diet pop a day, I didn't think the caffiene would affect me so badly. Wrongo.)

And, YES, I know the only real way to lose weight is to eat less and exercise. Being a bronchial asthmatic, the exercise portion is kinda hard, though I did start back up on the treadmill yesterday, and I am trying to cut back on the junk food.

So - anyone else feel like they were going to die using this crap?

Is it the ephedra version? Some people react differantly to whatever. If you really over weight or have high blood pressure to begin with those effects will seem amplified.

Anyway, I lost 170 pounds with diet and exercise, you can do it, just stick with it.

Anything with ephedrine is going to make you wanna die. Just work out and eat good. Hey, I am on day 11 without a cigarette so it just takes effort

Holy shit. 170 is no small task. Congratulations!

Good luck with the quitting smoking!!!

(start lecture) It takes a little work but once you haven't smoked for a while, you'll realize just how tied down you were to your smoking. No more budgeting for cigarettes, finding a place that allows you to smoke (well at least around here anyway), no more not being able to eat a meal without making sure you have a cigarette handy, etc. For me, being a non-smoker is like being an alcoholic - if I were to have just one cigarette there is a good chance I would pick the habit back up like an old pro. That is not a life I want to lead again.(end lecture)

I love how he says "this is not the ephedra version" and everyones first question is "does it have ephedra in it?"

Anyway, you are right, exercise and less food is the best and healthiest way to go. Don't try a fad diet, and as far as Stacker 2 and the other suppliments, I have not heard good things. I know a lot of people who have tried dieting various ways. Stacker 2, Atkins Diet, you name it. Out of all those people, I know 1 that was succesfull - and I believe she used Metabolife or some shit. But the point is, she is one from many. I do however know a few people who have lost weight from cutting back on junk and exercising - which is sooo hard to do, but it's the best way to do it. And the cheapest. Good luck, man!

Dailyvault, I have never used anything like that but I wanted to wish you luck on eating healthy. Along with healthing eating and exercise, support helps as well. Good luck!

That's exactly right and I am in the same boat. If I was to go back and just have a puff or just one cigarette then I will be smoking a pack a day in no time. This time I have my whole office encouraging me and helping me out. So it makes it a little easier. Yesterday was a bad day though. I almost fell off the wagon for whatever reason. I mean the craving just took over my body like I haven't experienced yet. I just went for a walk and kept doing some deep breathing to try and relax again and was back to normal after about ten minutes. My dad who smoked for a very long time was able to quit and my grandma who has smoked for 47 years managed to quit. So if they are able to then my measly 7 years of smoking should be a walk in the park but not really:tickled: . My main reason is when I have kids( a couple years from now)I want to live long enough to see and know their kids. I never met either of my grandpa's because they both died from cancer caused by smoking and I don't want that to happen to me.

On a strange simular note, a woman in my office is getting her stomach stapled next month. This goofy idiot purposley gained 40 pounds so she qualified for it.

Thanx, gang... I think I've finally gotten most of this poisonous shit out of my system, but I'm still seeing my doctor today just to get the same lecture I could get from my parents for free. Funny thing is I tried the ephedra-free version after the station manager swore how beneficial the original version was for him.

From now on, the only chemical I put in my system is Ketel One and orange juice.

Your mistaken. You have to be 18 and are only allowed to buy products that have ephedra in them in limited quantities. I am sure that the new laws are really going to stop all the meth manufacturers:tickled:

That's a good start. Every little lifestyle change helps. My husband recently lost a bunch of weight. He didn't have some big exercise plan. Instead, he made a few changes in his life. At dinner, he didn't go for the extra helping of food. He cut out pop completely and drank a lot of water. He took the stairs instead of the elevator. Little stuff like that adds up.
Good Luck!

Congratulations to you and everyone else here who kicked the habit. I guess I´m one of those who can have a couple of smokes at a party or smoke for a couple of days and just stop. I have never felt and urge afterwards. The same with drinking or dope. Doubt it would work with heroin though. :p

You can also still buy ephidrine which is the same stuff lab made in various cold products

Weight training is good due to the intensity. If your going to lift you should lift what feels heavy to you.

That stacker 2 stuff and all those other pills are crap. All they do is give you "artificial" energy. The whole thing is you are supposed to exercise with that energy, or that is what i was informed on. I tried it once, I had similar problems even after my workout (2 hours of it). I never took it again. If you lift or do rigorous exercise, go to a local athletic medicine (GNC?) and tell them what you are trying to achieve and if they have a shake or pill that can assist you. I found out with me, just like what everyone else has said, a steady diet (no McDonalds :erk: )and hitting the gym everyday (for a year)helped me lost 50 lbs of fat, gain just about that in muscle, and got my bench went to over 300 lbs and I can actually run a mile and not die!
