HAS INTEGRITY
...Most of you bored board members know I was in the Rockies all weekend, but I made sure I gotta flight home in time to see TON in Columbus. Do not go to shows with jet lag....ever. It wouldn't have been so bad, but after getting off of the plane and being in and out of airports for 10 hours, I had to drive an hour home from the airport, then drive an hour back to Columbus to the Newport Music Hall. In immortal words of Scott Ian "a gallon of Starfuck and 3 hours of sleep, works everytime." Well, I only had about an hour power nap and a pot of coffee, a quick shower, then I picked up my buddy Deihldo, and we were off.

So, the whole time I'm driving back up through this rain storm, thinking, "why the fuck am I doing this to myself" Well, when Type O Negative came out and opened w/ "Unsuccessfully Coping With the Natural Beauty Of Infedility (I Know You're Fucking Someone Else)" It all became clear  They followed that up with "Wolf Moon," and proceeded to plow through the classics. Incidentally, they only played one new tune; the single "I Don't Wanna Be Me," during the entire hour and a half set. There are some other tunes on the album I'd love to hear. I'd also love to see "Frozen (Too Late)" and "Blood and Fire" come back to the set. They wore hospital scrubs in keeping with the hospital theme of the album cover, and this year to get the crowd chanting "you suck, you suck" they played marching band music for a solid 30 minutes prior to hitting the stage. All in all, TON were great as always, and I recommend seeing them 6 or 7 times like i have. I only got to see Lacuna Coils last two songs, because I was busy grubbing at the Chipotle next door, but what I saw was cool. They have an aura about them live that is MUCH more powerful live. Christina is INCREDIBLE. The crowd wasn't totally into them, but then, no one in the crowd was not watching......there is something about them. I can't wait to see the full set next week with the Thrax boys.

not my stroke right about that, glad you enjoyed the show, the European tour all had bad reviews, they played really sloppy and uninspired! But I have to disagree about the MTV part, they played the shit outof the November album, and what about the little Playgirl shoot, sure as hell didn't hurt the record sales, even seen his Giant Ass on the Ricki Lake show!!
