OF MICE & MEN has been forced to cancel its shows this week in Flagstaff, Grand Junction, Lakewood and Syracuse "due to a medical situation that requires immediate urgent attention." The band called off the concerts just hours before it was scheduled to perform at The Greenroom in Flagstaff. OF MICE & MEN tweeted out the following statement on the matter: "Hey everyone – we're very sorry to announce that due to a medical situation that requires immediate urgent attention, we are being forced to cancel our show tonight and our other shows this week in Grand Junction, Lakewood and Syracuse. We will have more information shortly, but for now, we ask for your understanding and patience. We assure you we would not be canceling anything if it wasn't 100% necessary. Thank you." Last month, OF MICE & MEN scrapped its concert in Hartford, Connecticut after frontman Aaron Pauley was taken ill. OF MICE & MEN recently released a video for a new song called "How To Survive". The clip was directed by Zev Deans (DENZEL CURRY, GHOST). OF MICE & MEN spent much of the fall hunkered down in the studio working on new material with producer Josh Wilbur. "How To Survive" is the first taste of new music from the Southern California quartet since last year's much-praised "Defy" album. "Defy" marked OF MICE & MEN's first full-length release without vocalist Austin Carlile, who left the group due to his ongoing battle with Marfan syndrome, a rare genetic disorder that afflicts the connective tissue holding the body's cells, organs and tissue together.
