Faultering minds begin an end
This glory tarnished from fading morals
A shadow that was once gold
Now an empty halo lacking meaning
Chaos plays out a disburbing deja vu
As the fields are set ablaze again
As the smoke swallows the sun once more
Graves of children overgrown with vines
Lives of children overgrown with fear
Poor, they rot and wither away
Guilded crosses send them to pray
People of a blinded God in rags and filth
Priests of the same in clean and shine
All that gold reflection stripped Him of His sight
Now the honest ones perish and drown
And then there's one teen, another adult
Fustrated girl, troubled boy
Faultering minds that fail to hear truth
The Voice of Help is but a whisper
The Voice of Death, a whirling monsoon
Individual wars fought hard and continuously
Nothing to gain they think, nothing to lose
There are always two sides to the coin
Both are there and real, making a whole
So what makes up truth and lie?
What makes up fact and myth?
Or are they each a side to the coin?
As light and dark make up a day
From dawn to dusk, then dusk to dawn
Suffocating mind, reason therefore commits suicide
This glory tarnished from fading morals
A shadow that was once gold
Now an empty halo lacking meaning
Chaos plays out a disburbing deja vu
As the fields are set ablaze again
As the smoke swallows the sun once more
Graves of children overgrown with vines
Lives of children overgrown with fear
