i don't see any reason why my paraguayan neighbours up north should get one extra hour to slack >:-(
edit: i got it wrong, but for the sake of the joke, i'll leave it as that

i say we make my house gmt0 and then the rest of the world can try their hardest to adjust their sleeping schedule to it, deal?

So... What's Zulu?
It's longitude Z, which roughly means the time at 0 longitude on the global map, where the time zones are either +/- in relation to. There are a whole bunch of variations GSM/GMT/TAI/UT0/UT1/UT2/UTC/World Time/Coordinated Universal Time, but for all intensive purposes they're all pretty much the same, just corrected differently. Some aren't used anymore (GMT), some are based on International Atomic Time (TAI), others are based on solor observation and adjusted with "leap" seconds by Atomic Time (UTx)... and so on. It's actually quite confusing.

Anyways, Zulu Time is what the military would use for this time, in it's use of satellites, as well as space missions... It's a common standard time for Earth, and it is time, we, being citizens of this planet, all fall under this time designation without any subtractions or additions, or weird, here you subtract, inconsistently drawn out map where 100 miles north/south from any given point, the time may or may not be different.

If you thought that was confusing, go back to my first post and explain the outdated time zone map, which was created before all the countries in the world were so interconnected and interdependent.
