Slayer Announces U.S. Tour Dates

Heavy-metal band Slayer has released initial dates for its H82K2 tour of the U.S., set to begin in August.

Soulfly
Soulfly and In Flames will fill supporting slots. As on the band's European dates, original Slayer drummer Dave Lombardo will be filling in on drums in place of Paul Bostaph, who left the band in 2001. Tickets for several of the dates will be available three days in advance of the on-sale date via Slayer's website. More dates are expected to be announced shortly.

Slayer's most recent album, 2001's "God Hates Us All," was critically well-received, and garnered a Grammy nomination for one of its tracks, "Disciple."

I swear, if they don't add any dates for anywhere above CA on the west coast, I'll be immensely pissed. I missed them last time through, and I don't want to happen here what happened with Megadeth - I missed their tour, and something happened to disband them, and I'll never have another chance to see em live. Though Slayer's been going strong for two decades, you never know. Anyway, just my little piece to add. I'll go back into hiding now.

I'm sure they will add some more dates, but bear in mind, this is Slayers third trip across the country for this tour, 4th if you look at the headlining fall-winter 01/02 tour as two legs, because they crossed the country twice on that tour, and last summer they went across the US with Pantera in arenas. I doubt this tour w/ Soulfly goes much beyond the middle of Sept.
